The Tantum Rosa® Vaginal Irrigator is a convenient container with an applicator, intended for vaginal douching and intimate hygiene procedures. The 500 ml irrigator is a reusable medical device designed for use by a single user only. The device is made of soft, smooth plastic, and is completely safe when used according to its intended purpose.
Purpose of Vaginal Irrigation
The Tantum Rosa® Intimate Hygiene Irrigator is used for vaginal rinsing and for the local administration of intravaginal solutions. Regular intimate hygiene helps maintain the normal vaginal microbiota. Vaginal irrigation may also support physician-recommended treatment of inflammatory conditions of the female genital tract caused by infections, mechanical irritation, or as part of pre- and postoperative gynecological care.
Indications / Intended Use
The irrigator is intended for performing vaginal rinsing procedures, particularly:

for intimate cleansing and daily genital hygiene,

as an adjunct in the management of vaginal yeast infections,

during intimate infections occurring in pregnancy,

in cases of vaginal burning or irritation,
-
as preparation before gynecological procedures and for post-procedural hygiene.
Directions for Use
How to use the Tantum Rosa® Vaginal Irrigator:

Prepare the irrigation solution using water at body temperature.

Fill the container with 500 ml of the prepared solution.

Screw the applicator onto the container.

Gently insert the applicator into the vagina as deeply as comfortably possible.

Hold the container with both hands, placing your thumbs on the cap near the applicator tip.

Compress the container to release the entire volume of the solution.

Irrigation may be performed in a lying position (preferably in an empty bathtub) or standing (e.g., in the shower).

A stable, secure position is recommended; a non-slip mat may be used.

Irrigation may also be performed sitting (on a bidet or toilet).

After completing irrigation, gently remove the applicator without allowing the container to re-expand, to prevent vaginal discharge from being drawn back in.

Unscrew the applicator. Wash both parts in warm water (up to 40°C) and allow them to dry.
