Sutricon Silicone Scar Sheets are a medical device designed to improve the appearance of scars. The sheets help regulate moisture and temperature within the scar tissue. They can be used in infants over 6 months of age, children, and adults.

Silicone gel, elastic polyurethane membrane.

Intended Use

Sutricon Silicone Scar Sheets 5 × 30 cm are intended for use on large-area scars, including:

• scars following extensive surgical procedures (e.g., spinal surgery, abdominoplasty),

• scars after upper and lower limb plastic surgery,

• scars following minor skin grafts,

• post-cesarean section scars,

• both immature (fresh) and mature scars.

Product Characteristics

Sutricon Silicone Scar Sheets 5 × 30 cm improve the appearance and elasticity of scars by lightening, smoothing, and reducing their visibility. Their properties help maintain optimal moisture levels in the scar tissue. They also help alleviate discomfort associated with developing scars, such as pain, itching, and a pulling sensation.

The sheets:

• easily conform to the skin surface,

• require once-daily application and provide 24-hour continuous action,

• help prevent hypertrophic scars and keloids,

• reduce visibility of existing scars by lightening and smoothing them,

• reduce tension, pulling, and itching,

• are ultra-thin (0.25 mm) and transparent, making them nearly invisible on the skin,

• can be used in individuals over 6 months of age.

Directions for Use

Before application, the scar should be thoroughly cleaned and dried. Cut the sheet to match the size of the scar, leaving a 5 mm margin on each side, and apply it directly onto the scar.

• One sheet provides 3–5 days of use.

• Once daily, remove the sheet, wash and dry the scar, and reapply the same sheet.

• Recommended duration of therapy:

  • at least 3 months for fresh scars,

  • at least 6 months for mature scars.

Application Guidance

Sutricon® silicone scar sheets may be applied once the wound is fully healed (all scabs have fallen off and new tissue has formed). When applied to scars located in areas prone to stretching (e.g., knee or elbow joints), the sheet—like other adhesive scar products—may loosen or shift.

Warnings and Precautions

Sutricon® silicone sheets must not be applied to:

• open wounds,

• exuding wounds,

• burns,

• mucous membranes.
