Product Description
Opokan Actigel is a topical medicinal gel with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, formulated for the local treatment of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation.

Composition
The active ingredient is naproxen. Each 1 g of gel contains 100 mg naproxen (as naproxen sodium). Other ingredients include: dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), 96% ethanol, propylene glycol, hydroxypropylcellulose, purified water.

Dosage and Administration
Opokan Actigel is intended for topical use only. A small amount of gel (approximately a 5 cm strip) should be applied to the affected area 4–5 times daily, gently massaging until fully absorbed. The maximum daily dose of naproxen via topical application is 500 mg (approximately a 25 cm strip of gel). One 5 cm strip of gel contains approximately 100 mg naproxen. The gel should be applied to clean, dry skin, and hands should be thoroughly washed after each application.

Pharmacological Action
Opokan Actigel contains naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects. The gel formulation allows easy topical application and localized action at the site of pain or inflammation.

Indications
Opokan Actigel is indicated for the topical treatment of:

  • Post-traumatic musculoskeletal pain (sprains, strains, contusions)

  • Spinal pain

  • Osteoarthritis-related joint pain

Contraindications
