Description:
Nizoral is a medicated shampoo formulated for topical use on the scalp. It is suitable for adults and children over 12 years. The product effectively treats dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and pityriasis versicolor by reducing fungal growth and alleviating scalp irritation.
Active Ingredient:
Ketoconazole
Excipients:
Sodium lauryl sulfate ether, disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate, fatty acid diethylamide, hydrolyzed animal collagen, methylglucose dioleate, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, imidurea, fragrance, sodium hydroxide, erythrosine, purified water.
Indications:

Dosage & Administration:

General use: Apply a small amount to wet scalp, lather, leave for 3–5 minutes, then rinse.

Pityriasis versicolor: Once daily for 1 day.

Seborrheic dermatitis/dandruff: Twice weekly for 2–4 weeks.

Preventive: Once weekly or biweekly.

Avoid contact with eyes. Use other shampoos for routine hair washing.
Mechanism of Action:
Ketoconazole exhibits strong antifungal activity, reducing fungal proliferation on the scalp. Regular use helps restore scalp condition, reduces itching and redness, and controls flaking.
