Product Description
Espumisan is an oral drop formulation indicated for adults and infants over 1 month of age, used for the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal discomfort associated with excessive gas, such as bloating and infantile colic. The active substance, simethicone, reduces gas by breaking down gas bubbles in the digestive tract, facilitating their natural elimination.
Espumisan may also be used as an anti-foaming agent in preparation for abdominal diagnostic procedures (e.g., ultrasound, radiologic exams, gastroscopy) and in cases of poisoning with surfactants.
Indications

Composition (per 1 ml / 25 drops)
Simethicone 40 mg
Excipients: macrogol stearate, glycerol monostearate, carbomer, banana flavour, acesulfame potassium, sorbitol solution (non-crystallising), sodium chloride, sodium citrate, sodium hydroxide, sorbic acid, purified water.
Recommended Dosage

Typical dosing in gas-related symptoms:
? Infants >1 month: 1–2 ml/day in divided doses (max 80 mg simethicone/day).
? Children 1–6 yrs: 1 ml (25 drops) 3–5 times daily.
? Children 6–14 yrs: 1–2 ml (25–50 drops) 3–5 times daily.
? Adults & adolescents: 2 ml (50 drops) 3–5 times daily.
Drops may be added to a feeding bottle or given on a spoon before or after feeding.
Contraindications
⛔ Hypersensitivity to simethicone or any excipient.
⛔ Not for infants below 1 month of age.
